Ethereum Bonds | Weekly Recap

Dear Bankless Nation,

European Investment Bank (EIB) announced earlier this week that they’re issuing $121M in digital bonds on Ethereum.

This is the official lending arm of the European Union—a significant quasi government institution electing to distribute digital bonds to investors on Ethereum.

Institutions are starting to realize the benefit of Ethereum. They’re waking up to the the value of a global, open, internet-native settlement layer.

I say this the same week Visa announced that they’re going to move into crypto “in a very big way” and the PayPal CEO said “crypto is the real deal”.

Meanwhile ETH is pushing to new ATHs every day.

I wonder what happens to ETH price when people learn that every time a bank like EIB or Visa or PayPal transact on Ethereum it increases the scarcity of ETH. 🤯

This last part is why I think ETH is the biggest risk-adjusted alpha in crypto right now.
