Level up your open finance game three times a week. I’m releasing this Free for Everyone until November 1. Get the Bankless program by subscribing below.

Dear Crypto Natives,

A Bankless member said this in the Inner Circle recently and it stuck with me:

I love reading everything in this group plus as much as I can about crypto in general to try to get up to speed. But I’m wondering if it’s a bad thing to just have some coins parked in a wallet not being used? I think a great topic would be Baby steps for beginners.

No. It’s not a bad thing. It’s where all of us started.

This member asked for the baby steps. That’s awesome. To onboard as many people as possible we need great entry level material—stuff you can send to your friends and family who are just starting out.

I was also struck this week by something Bankless subscriber Slengas said. Here’s what he’s been up to:

Totally crushing the program. Advanced track. I also want the program to work for people like Tomas traveling at warp speed. Because there’s still plenty of room to level up. It never stops.

So, what should we do?

How about we create an open finance level-up guide?

We could make it open source. The best ideas get added.

I’m starting by publishing a draft guide today in this post. And I want your help to make it really awesome. Ready?

Let’s do it!

- RSA

P.S. Speaking of the advanced track—there’s bonus content at the end for you early believers—an AMA with one of the most powerful new money protocols I’ve seen 🔥

THURSDAY THOUGHT

Bankless Level-Up Guide

I’ve published a guide of actions you can take to level-up and your crypto finance game, track your progress, and become more bankless. It starts with baby steps and ends with full mastery. It’s based on the money verbs we learned in the skill cube.

👉View the Bankless Level-Up Guide (here’s a printable .pdf version)

It includes 50 actions across 4 major skill zones:

  1. Novice (Level 1—10)
  2. Apprentice (Level 11—20)
  3. Journeyman (Level 21—30)
  4. Master (Level 31—40)

And guess what? It’s not finished.

In fact, I don’t think it’ll ever be finished. It’ll evolve and change as the open finance money system matures. Three months ago it would have looked different. Two years ago it would have been bare. Two years from now? Well, I can’t wait to see what it looks like then.

Here’s the best part: I need your help to make it better.

You’re here because you’re a user of open finance like me, so:

  • What would you add to the guide?
  • How would you make it better for others?
  • What would you take away or change?

This is an open source project. It belongs to the community. You can get involved to make it really awesome.

HOW TO ADD TO THE GUIDE

If you want to add comments or make changes to the guide shoot an email to ryan@mythos.capital. I’ll give you edit access. Once this draft matures, we’ll put it in a common repository—for now it’s a Google Doc making it really accessible to all.

Oh and remember Slengas from earlier? He’s already adding comments. 🔥

I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

And of course, the guide is pretty darn useful as is. So if you don’t have anything to add, you can use it now to level-up. But I’ll keep you updated with new versions.

That’s it for today. Enjoy the guide.

I can’t wait to send you the September report tomorrow—we’ve come such a long way in just one month on the program.

Action steps

  • Review the Bankless Level-Up Guide and determine your current level
  • Email me at ryan@mythos.capital for edit access to the guide to contribute!

Continue leveling up. $12 per month. 20% off if you subscribe before November 1.

BONUS CONTENT: AMA with Balancer

I’ve gotten permission from my friend Spencer Noon to share this recent Balancer AMA with Bankless Early Believers today. I wrote about Balancer a week ago and after learning more about their project, I feel even more strongly that this could become a very powerful money protocol in open finance.

Filling out the skill cube

The Level-Up Guide covers the entirety of the skill cube. It’s the whole shabang. That’s why it’s a useful supplement to the weekly program. We’ll refer to it often.
