CULTURE ROUNDUP
Your Zora Profile Is Now a Coin

1️⃣ Zora unveils Creator Coins

Zora shook up the onchain creative scene earlier this year when it switched from supporting posts as NFTs to posts as fungible coins.

Now, the team behind the decentralized social network is going for its next big evolution, as they've just introduced Creator Coins.

In other words, every profile on Zora is now tokenized. So for example, if I activate my profile, I'd receive a $Peaster market paired against $ZORA with 50% of my token's supply streamed to me over 5 years.

Then, any post I drop on Zora from that point on would be paired against $Peaster, and I'd earn 1% on all trades around my profile and coins. This model is a bold addition that has flywheel potential, so keep it on your radar.

2️⃣ Crypto: The Game Emmy nomination?

Crypto: The Game, the Survivor-inspired onchain contest that held its Season 3 back in March, is on the ballot for an Emmy Award in "Emerging Media."

But can CTG secure an official nomination and move on to the final phase of consideration by the judges?

Right now, the chances are looking good. Entertainment outlet Variety has published its 2025 Emmy predictions, and they're predicting CTG will clinch a nomination in their category.

Win or not, a nomination would be hugely validating—not only for CTG itself as a compelling product, but also for alternative onchain media in general. In the meantime, let's keep our fingers crossed that Variety's right!

3️⃣ Fileverse launches dSheets

Fileverse, the onchain collaboration suite behind the decentralized dDocs alternative to Google Docs, just released its newest tool: dSheets.

Like its name suggests, this resource offers all the staples you'd expect from a spreadsheets platform like Google Sheets, yet with added benefits like encryption, importable Farcaster social graphs, and support for onchain transactions.

And this is just the start. Look for the Fileverse team to roll out more features here in the near future, like integrating native charts and local LLMs.

4️⃣ Immutable Ratings V2

A couple of months ago, I highlighted Immutable Ratings as an interesting new onchain curation platform to watch.

If you're a fan of the project, take note, as the team just launched its V2 system. The optimized platform is now deployed on Arbitrum alongside Base and has added support for batch transactions and multiple payment tokens.

Plus, the V2 also makes use of IR's new Universal Mapping Protocol, an open-source system for mapping offchain URLs to onchain addresses. Pretty cool all around, so check it out!

5️⃣ Hello ChonkNames

Chonks is a rad collection on Base where its NFT characters operate as smart wallets, holding their own trait NFTs in their "backpack" addresses.

However, previously to send to and from these backpacks, you had to deal with the typical, hard-to-remember alphanumeric addresses we see all around crypto.

As such, this week the Chonks team unveiled human-readable ChonkNames via ENS subdomains, e.g. 1.chonks.base.eth, and they're now live for every Chonk in the collection.

This update makes sending traits much easier, and it also shows how onchain culture legos can be put together for QoL improvements. Well done.
