Sam Altman's World project has unveiled a new chat functionality for its World App that integrates crypto payments. This update, initially released in beta, allows the app's 24 million users to communicate and transact more easily, especially the 11 million 'verified humans'. The app now features enhanced identity verification through unique World ID identifiers.

What’s the Scoop?

  • Chat and Payments Feature: The new update allows users to send and receive crypto as seamlessly as sending a picture, with chat functionality identifying verified users by a blue chat bubble and a World ID gem.
  • Verified User Base: Out of over 24 million World App users, more than 11 million are 'verified humans', able to confirm identities within this network.
  • Developer Integration Capability: Developers building on the World Network can integrate World Chat into their Mini App, facilitating user interaction without leaving the World App ecosystem.
