Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the company behind Truth Social, is moving into financial services with the launch of Truth.Fi.

What's the Scoop?

  • New Fintech Venture: Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent company of Truth Social, has launched Truth.Fi, a fintech brand with crypto ambitions.
  • $250M Investment Plan: The company plans to invest up to $250 million through Charles Schwab into ETFs, separately managed accounts, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies.
  • Alternative Investment Vehicles: Truth.Fi aims to offer “America First” investment options, positioning itself as an alternative to big banks and corporations.

Bankless Take

Truth.Fi’s launch underscores Trump's more cavalier attitude toward new business ventures amid his second-term Presidency. While the crypto angle could help Truth.Fi attract retail users, success will depend on execution, regulatory hurdles, and whether it can carve out a real niche in an already competitive fintech space.
