Minting Your Base History as Onchain Art
Bankless Author: William M. Peaster

One of my favorite ways to visualize data is by transforming it into art.

This sort of artmaking challenges and expands how we think about information. It also gives us a way to curate memories into history, and now thanks to NFTs, into digital keepsakes for posterity.

One project doing interesting work at this crossroads is Pob Studio, a team behind multiple commemorative onchain art series like Hash, Even v. Odd, and Merge.

Pob Studio’s latest innovative effort is the Ethverse, a duo of collections that lets users turn blockchain history into unique, collectible relics.

The Ethverse now supports Basenames, so let’s walk you through how you can easily mint your own Base history moments accordingly! 👇

TOOL TIP
Zora's Mobile App

Zora’s mobile app, once invite-only, is now open to everyone. Post content, get paid for every like, and mint NFTs with a simple double-tap on your screen—it’s really slick!

Notably, the app lets you sign up via email (no crypto wallet required), and then you can sync your Farcaster or Instagram to instantly connect with friends and curate a personalized feed. Upload content straight from your phone, and use Sparks—Zora's in-app currency—to collect your favorite NFTs.

Also of note is how the app relies on Privy embedded wallets and the new Coinbase Smart Wallets system to handle gas fees and transactions behind the scenes, so you can collect from your feed without UX hassles.

I’ve long thought Zora is one of crypto’s best projects, and in my opinion they’ve cooked up a really user-friendly demonstration of what onchain social can be with this new app. Consider giving it a spin and see if you agree!
