Robinhood Wallet is among the newest self-custody crypto wallets.

Designed for beginners and veterans alike, this mobile-first wallet lets you securely store, swap, and interact with crypto across multiple blockchains—all while keeping you in charge of your private keys.

The Main Features

Robinhood Wallet offers a series of core features for managing your crypto. These pillars include:

  • 🌐 Multi-network support Manage crypto on the Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana, Dogecoin, Arbitrum, Polygon, Optimism, and Base networks.
  • 💸 Send, receive, and swap crypto — Easily transfer funds to friends, exchanges, or other wallets. The built-in swap feature lets you trade tokens onchain, whether on the same network or across chains.
  • 👛 Buy and transfer assets — Use integrated partners like Robinhood Connect or Sardine to buy crypto directly within the app, or transfer funds from your Robinhood Crypto account.
  • 🎴 NFT management — For NFT enthusiasts, Robinhood Wallet lets you securely receive and store your digital collectibles (currently available only on iOS).
  • 📱 App connectivity — Access decentralized applications through the built-in web3 browser or WalletConnect so you can access DeFi, crypto games, and more.

Getting Started

    • 1) Download the App
Available on both iOS and Android devices, you can download Robinhood Wallet from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
    • 2) Set Up Your Wallet
Choose between creating a new wallet or importing an existing one using your secret recovery phrase. During setup, select your preferred authentication method—whether that’s biometrics (Face ID/Touch ID) or a custom 6-digit PIN.
    • 3) Create a Backup
Secure your wallet by backing it up via iCloud, Google Drive, or manually with pen and paper. Your secret recovery phrase is your only lifeline for wallet recovery, so store it safely and never share it with anyone else.

Exploring Robinhood Wallet

Once you've set up a Robinhood Wallet address, you'll arrive at your portfolio page where you can track your account. At this point, you can start exploring the wallet's main features. For example:

  • On the portfolio page...
    • You'll find 1-day, 1-week, 1-month, 3-month, and 1-year time filters that you can apply to your portfolio to gauge the performance of your holdings
    • Just below these filters, you'll see "Buy," "Swap," "Send," and "Receive" buttons that you can use to fund or manage your account
    • There is also a "Trending" tab that uses GeckoTerminal data to surface tokens that are experiencing a surge of trading volume over the past 24 hours
    • At the bottom of the page "Discover more" button that pops out into a larger "Discover" page where you can filter tokens by categories like "Top gainers" and find recent crypto news articles
  • In the dropdown menu...
    • At the top left of the portfolio page is the dropdown menu button
    • You can click here find the wallet addresses for your Ethereum accounts and your Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Solana accounts
    • Robinhood Wallet also offers "Send," "Receive," and "Buy" widgets just below your addresses
    • In this menu, you can also get into more advanced functionalities through the "Transfer from Robinhood," "Backups & Security," and "Settings" buttons
  • And finally, the QR code scanner...
    • At the top right of the portfolio page is a box-like scanner button
    • You can click here to scan QR codes, whether for connecting to crypto apps or for sending funds to another address
    • Keep in mind that you'll need to allow Robinhood Wallet access to your device's camera in order to be able to use the scanner

Zooming out

Robinhood Wallet aims to bridge the gap between centralized ease and decentralized freedom.

Its streamlined design makes it accessible for beginners, while advanced users can enjoy features like cross-chain swaps and WalletConnect connectivity. Additionally, its integration within Robinhood's ecosystem makes it an excellent choice if you're already a Robinhood user.

That said, there’s still room for improvement. For instance, the option to manually add custom networks—such as new Ethereum Layer 2 chains—would be a welcome enhancement. Also, expanding NFT support to Android users would further broaden its appeal.

In the months ahead, look for Robinhood Wallet to potentially address these functionalities while its team continues to iterate and expand out with new releases.
