Solana's SIMD-228 proposal, aimed at changing token emissions, failed to secure the necessary votes, leaving the status quo intact. The outcome also highlights challenges in driving adequate validator participation.

  • Lower Participation: The SIMD-228 proposal required a 66.67% majority to pass but received only 61.4% of total votes in favor.
  • Voting Breakdown: The vote concluded during Solana Epoch 755 with 43.6% of voters casting 'yes' votes and 27.4% voting 'no'.
  • Token Emissions Remain Unchanged: With the proposal's failure, token emissions on Solana will not be altered as previously proposed.
