SEC Concludes Zcash Foundation Investigation with No Charges

There will be no enforcement actions brought against the Zcash Foundation.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has concluded a years-long investigation into the Zcash Foundation, deciding it does not intend to recommend enforcement actions against the Zcash Foundation.

Initial Subpoena: The Zcash Foundation now says it was subpoenaed by the SEC on August 31, 2023, in connection with a probe designated "In the Matter of Certain Crypto Asset Offerings (SF-04569)."
No Enforcement Action: According to the Zcash Foundation, "the SEC has concluded its review and informed us that it does not intend to recommend any enforcement action or other changes against Zcash Foundation" regarding the aforementioned inquiry.
