Bloomberg is reporting that Intercontinental Exchange – parent company of the New York Stock Exchange – is in talks to invest in crypto payments provider MoonPay's latest funding round.

What's the Scoop?

  • Imminent Raise: According to anonymous sources familiar with the matter cited by Bloomberg, ICE is in talks to invest in MoonPay's latest funding round, which is "close" to complete and targets a valuation of approximately $5B.
  • New Hire: Yesterday, MoonPay disclosed that acting CFTC Chair Caroline D. Pham will serve as its new Chief Legal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, following the completion of here current role.
  • Polymarket Participation: ICE is no stranger to the crypto industry, having previously invested $2B in crypto-native prediction market Polymarket at a $9B post-investment valuation in October.
