Short-term price action in crypto has some people feeling bearish, but zoom into the crypto gaming scene, and you'll find a lot to be bullish about right now.
For example:
- Pirate Nation is surging
- Parallel is moving into esports
- Influence just launched on Starknet
- Axie Infinity’s team is making a zkEVM
- Immutable is signing tons of new games
- Fren Pet is doing ~2% of Base transactions
These advances are just the tip of the crypto gaming iceberg, as many newer projects are also currently revving up.
In today’s post, let's dive into three new crypto games that have recently caught my attention and that you may want to try playing in the weeks ahead! 👇
Mantle kickstarts Season 1 of Methamorphosis. Building on the success of their Liquid Staking Token, mETH, Mantle LSP announces plans for a new Liquid Restaking Token, cmETH, along with a governance token, COOK. With Methamorphosis, participants can now farm Powder for future COOK tokens and position themselves early for upcoming cmETH release.
Party, the coordination protocol and platform, just introduced a neat new resource for launching tokens: create.party.app.
Mints are powered by ERC-20 contracts on Base with a finite supply of 10,000 tokens. Collectors can mint any number of tokens until the supply sells out.
Upon selling out, a secondary market is automatically created on Uniswap, allowing for immediate trading. Creators receive 10% of the token supply and earn 1% royalties on all secondary transactions, providing a potentially continuous revenue stream.
On the flip side, collectors benefit from the flexibility of buying and selling any amount of tokens at any time, ensuring an open market that remains accessible forever.
In the very least, it's a new experimental token launching format, and it'll be interesting to see how creators embrace it going forward. Also, a salute to the Party team, they stay shipping!
