MegaETH – the upcoming “real-time Ethereum” L2 that boasts a throughput capacity of 100k transactions per second with sub-millisecond latency – has decreed that next Monday, February 9, will be mainnet launch day.

Already live in a limited release “Stress Test” form to trial latency-sensitive applications, MegaETH is one of the most hotly anticipated crypto launches of the year. It last raised $50M in October from an oversubscribed initial coin offering that received $1.39B in capital commitments, and with mainnet just around the corner, crypto investors are now shifting to capitalize on the network’s next phase.

Today, we’re spotlighting five top MegaETH applications promising airdrop upside you can hunt right now to frontrun the MEGA opportunity!

p.s. Before experimenting, bridge ETH to MegaETH.

☺️ Kumbaya

Website | Twitter

Kumbaya is a MegaETH-native decentralized exchange and token launchpad deployed. It was the largest application by total value locked on MegaETH’s limited release Stress Test network at the time of writing, with $37M in deposits.

By providing the MegaETH ecosystem with access to basic token swapping and launch primitives, Kumbaya seeks to grant newly formed communities the agency to create culture from a lead role, in a setup that is, “perfect for them to evolve into cults.”

While there aren’t yet any concrete Kumbaya airdrop plans, the DEX’s website indicated that a leaderboard is coming “soon,” hinting at the possibility of a points program that could lead to future airdrop rewards.

🪽 Euphoria

Website | Twitter

Perhaps the most anticipated application on the most anticipated new blockchain of the year, Euphoria is a MegaETH-native project that will introduce “Tap Trading” – a gamified, one-tap trading experience that promises to disrupt sterile financial markets.

By blending CLOB efficiency, a user-friendly interface, and MegaETH’s real-time speed, Euphoria transforms trading into an experience designed for dopamine and the masses, reducing the brain power required to place complex options and futures trades to a single click while preserving their expressive power.

Euphoria’s “feel something” tagline reflects its mission to turn speculation into a joyful, intuitive, mobile-first experience for the next generation of traders, and the project has certainly struck a cord with early ecosystem participants, who rate Euphoria as their top application in the MegaETH community guide.

Get started with Euphoria by joining the waitlist and following social accounts, including Discord and Telegram, and prepare for updates leading up to mainnet!

🌄 Showdown

Website | Twitter

Currently available to anyone in a full release format with real money at stake, Showdown draws on inspiration from trading card games like Hearthstone and Magic the Gathering to supercharge online poker with collectible action cards.

Showdown advertises balanced game play and a rewarding experience for all players that is designed around the best aspects of leading card games. While large skill gaps and automated bots can undermine fair competition in traditional online poker venues, Showdown’s rich gameplay mechanics hope to ensure a level playing field.

On February 3, a live-stakes version of Showdown was deployed to MegaETH Stress Test. Users can seamlessly interact with this TCG now by bridging USDC from Base or Arbitrum directly to Showdown, or by bridging ETH to MegaETH and then depositing USDM.

🔨 Smasher

Website | Twitter

Smasher is an onchain casino deployed on the MegaETH Stress Test, where players wager on whack-a-mole-style rounds and attempt to dodge explosive Crypto Twitter personalities.

To protect against the risk of insolvency from a single-round loss, Smasher does not allow users to place bets larger than 1% of the pot size and requires users to cash out before a payout reaches 5% of the total pot size.

Smasher has an ongoing points program that rewards users with one point per every dollar of best placed and for completing social quests. These points will be used for “future ecosystem rewards,” suggesting a strong likelihood of a future airdrop.

🐰 Crossy Fluffle

Website | Twitter

Initially created by the MegaETH team to demonstrate the capabilities of their network, Crossy Fluffle draws inspiration from Crossy Road. Players compete against themselves to see how far they can go in 60 seconds, and can toggle between MegaETH, Base, and Monad to see the impact of blocktimes on their user experience.

Crossy Fluffle is currently deployed to the MegaETH Stress Test network, meaning users who want to test the capabilities of the MegaETH network can now do so with real funds by bridging ETH to MegaETH and depositing gas to a dedicated in-game wallet.

Although there are limited details about greater ambitions for Crossy Fluffle beyond its current form, it is possible that developers move to airdrop some type of utility or commemorative token to early users in recognition of gas spent stress testing the MegaETH network.
