The Ethereum network has successfully implemented the Pectra upgrade, incorporating 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) aimed at boosting staking efficiency, user experience, validator operations, and Layer 2 scalability. This release marks Ethereum’s most expansive update since The Merge in 2022.

  • Upgrade Details: Activated at epoch 364032, Pectra introduces 11 EIPs designed to improve staking operations, increase blob throughput for rollups, and enhance user features with account abstraction.
  • Key EIP Changes: EIP-7251 raises staking limits for validators to 2,048 ETH, while EIP-7691 boosts Layer 2 rollup throughput, and EIP-7002 enhances validator security by allowing execution-layer exits.
