President Donald Trump's Truth Social announced Friday the filing of registration statements with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for two new digital asset exchange-traded funds.

What's the Scoop?

  • New ETF Applications: Truth Social has filed registration statements for the "Truth Social Cronos Yield Maximizer ETF" and the "Truth Social Bitcoin and Ether ETF." The former will hold and stake CRO tokens (the native cryptocurrency of Crypto.com's Cronos blockchain), and the later will hold BTC and ETH (and stake the ETH).
  • Crypto.com Connection: Truth Social's crypto funds are issued in partnership with crypto exchange Crypto.com, who is expected to serve as the digital asset custodian, liquidity provider, and staking services provider for the ETFs (subject to regulatory approval).
  • Imminent Launches: According to Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas, previously filed Truth Social ETFs can be expected to launch in the coming months.
