Coinbase has rolled out decentralized exchange (DEX) trading directly within its main app for most U.S. users outside New York—opening up a whole new layer of on-chain access.

What’s the Scoop?

  • DEX in the App: U.S. users (excluding NY) can now access Base-native tokens through the built-in DEX feature.
  • Launch-Day Listing for Builders: Tokens created on Base show up in Coinbase within hours of indexing, giving projects immediate visibility without traditional listing delays.
  • Fee Relief for Users: Coinbase covers network fees, and trades happen through a self-custody wallet that keeps the user in control.
  • More Chains Coming: The company said expansions to Solana and global markets are in the pipeline—part of its push to become an “everything app” for crypto.
