Clanker v4: A New Customization Suite for Token Creators

The team behind Clanker, the popular token deployer bot, has officially rolled out their v4 protocol. The revamped system, built atop Uniswap V4 and Uniswap Hooks, introduces a slew of new goodies for coin creators.
The big picture
The main thrust of Clanker v4 is offering users lots of flexibility. The optionality here is driven by the integration of Hooks, as Hooks allow deep customization around Clanker tokens' underlying liquidity pools.
That said, some of the fresh pillars of the new v4 infra include:
- Custom liquidity + fee structures — Now when you deploy a Clanker token, you can initialize up to 7 distinct liquidity pools to better control your distribution; likewise, you can now set up static or dynamic trading fees for your pools.
- New "Extensions" — Clanker Extensions = the new home for extra opt-in functionalities, like Vaulting (i.e. for locking up to 90% of a token's supply) Dev Buys (i.e. for auto-purchasing from a new token's supply), and Airdrops (i.e. for creating vested allocations for specified recipients).
- Optimized rewards — Now all fees from your Clanker LP positions are sent to a dedicated feel locker, and you can assign up to 7 reward recipients during the token creation process. It's also now possible to make one onchain call to claim WETH earnings across multiple coins.
- MEV protections — Clanker v4 also notably introduced special MEV modules that can activated for anti-sniping defenses, like delaying trading in new liquidity pools or auctioning a pool's first swaps. Pretty nifty!
Why it matters
To date, Clanker's v0 through v3.1 protocols have collectively reached +324,000 traders, generating $31.5 million in fees and more than $3.1 billion in total trading volume in the process. v3.1 alone facilitated the creation of +164,000 unique tokens.
With the new features that v4 offers, Clanker is eyeing fresh heights when it comes to these activity milestones. More creators will be drawn in by the ability to tailor liquidity distribution, fee capture, and vesting schedules to their exact roadmaps, which in turn will attract more traders.
How to try
Clanker v4 is now powering the Clanker account on Farcaster, the clanker.world frontend, and various third-party launchpads like Empire Builder.
If you're new to the Clanker ecosystem and want to try your own token deployment, you might find the frontend route easiest, as its "Create" page lays out all the customization options available to you in a simple, intuitive way.
In the meantime, if you run into any technical questions or are more interested in building around Clanker's tech, be sure to check out the docs. Otherwise, happy clanking!
