Since inception almost 6 years ago, David and I have been on a mission to explore and propagate long-term investing in crypto. We love the buy-and-hold side of crypto – the long term investing horizons. Crypto is not a one-month get rich quick scheme, it’s a decades-long asset class poised to grow to the deca-trillions – so why trade narratives when you can buy-and-hold fundamentals?
But what are the fundamentals in crypto?
Answering that question has been the founding mission of The DeFi Report.
What Would Buffet Do? (WWBD?)
Warren Buffet purchased his first equities in 1942, just over a decade after the Black Tuesday that triggered the Great Depression. At that time the theory of “stock fundamentals” was exotic and illegible, everyone knew markets traded on animal spirits and narratives – the idea of valuing a company on discounted cash flows was relegated to niche academics.
Sound familiar?
Buffet went on to become the greatest equity investor of all time by using fundamentals to buy great assets at cheap prices. I believe we’re somewhere in the 1940s when it comes to crypto valuations and Michael Nadeau, the founder of The DeFi Report, is incarnating the spirit of Warren Buffet in crypto.
